Grievance Redressal Policy

We take your concerns seriously. This policy explains how to raise a grievance with CofounderUp and what you can expect from us in response.
1. Introduction
CofounderUp is committed to addressing concerns and grievances from our users in a fair, timely, and transparent manner. This Grievance Redressal Policy is published in compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023 and the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.
Every user has the right to raise a grievance regarding their personal data, their experience on the Platform, or any content-related concern, and to receive a timely resolution.
2. Scope
This policy covers grievances related to:
- Processing of personal data (collection, use, sharing, or retention of your data)
- Exercise of data rights (access, correction, erasure, withdrawal of consent)
- Security incidents or potential breaches affecting your personal data
- Violation of our Terms & Conditions or acceptable use standards
- Content on the Platform you believe to be unlawful, misleading, or harmful
- Any other concern about your experience on CofounderUp
3. Designated Grievance Officer
In accordance with applicable Indian law, we have designated a Grievance Officer who is responsible for receiving and resolving grievances:

The Grievance Officer is available to receive and address grievances Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays in India).
4. How to Submit a Grievance
To submit a grievance, please email us at:
Please include the following in your email to help us process your grievance quickly:
- Your full name and the email address associated with your CofounderUp account
- A clear description of your grievance
- The specific relief or resolution you are seeking
- Any relevant supporting information (screenshots, dates, URLs), where applicable
Use the subject line: "Grievance: [brief description]"— for example, "Grievance: Request to delete my account data".
5. Grievance Resolution Process
Once we receive your grievance, we will:
- Acknowledge your grievance within 48 hours of receipt, with a reference number.
- Investigate the matter by reviewing relevant records, logs, and account information.
- Respond with our findings and any action taken within 30 days of receipt, or sooner where feasible.
- Follow up with you if we require additional information to resolve the matter.
Where a grievance requires deletion of data, correction of records, or restriction of processing, we will carry out the requested action within the same 30-day window, unless we are legally required to retain certain data.
6. Response Timeline
We are committed to the following timelines:
- Acknowledgement: Within 48 hours of receiving your grievance
- Full resolution: Within 30 days of receipt
- Data deletion requests: Within 30 days of a verified request
- Security incidents: Initial response within 24 hours; full disclosure within 72 hours where required by law
If your grievance cannot be resolved within 30 days due to complexity, we will notify you of the reason for the delay and provide an updated estimated resolution date.
7. Escalation
If you are not satisfied with the resolution provided by our Grievance Officer, you have the following options:
- Data Protection Board of India: Once operational, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India with a complaint if you believe your rights under the DPDP Act, 2023 have been violated and your grievance has not been adequately resolved.
- Consumer Forum: You may approach the appropriate consumer disputes redressal commission under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
- Courts: You retain the right to seek relief from courts of competent jurisdiction in India.
